Information about the speaker:

Karolina Iwańska - lawyer at the Panoptykon Foundation dealing with freedom and privacy in an increasingly digital world. Graduated in law from the Jagiellonian University. She gained experience in law firms dealing with copyright law and the Stańczyk Foundation, fighting for openness and civic control in public life. She joined Panopticon in 2017. She is particularly interested in forms of online surveillance - using people's information to target content and the growing role of online platforms. In 2019/20 she is a Mozilla Foundation Fellow in the area of EU Tech Policy. At Panopticon, among other things, she coordinates research activities and engages in advocacy at EU level.
