Dr Marek Martyniszyn lecture (Senior Lecturer in Law at Queen’s University Belfast)

On the MS Teams platform on October 21 On October 21, 2020 at 5.00 p.m. Dr Marek Martyniszyn, Senior Lecturer in Law at Queen’s University Belfast, presented online his recent article ‘Competitive Harm Crossing Borders: Regulatory Gaps and a Way Forward’, forthcoming in the Journal of Competition Law & Economics.

The article analyses the current regulatory framework governing transnational restrictive business practices. It identifies key gaps that provide room for anticompetitive practices to flourish, causing cross-border transfer of wealth, typically from less affluent states. The  article offers a series of pragmatic policy recommendations that could narrow existing regulatory gaps. Colleagues interested in this work are encouraged to contact Dr Martyniszyn directly by email: m.martyniszyn@qub.ac.uk. Dr Martyniszyn’s work is available also via SSRN at http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/cf_dev/AbsByAuth.cfm?per_id=866196.
